Walk with JP and public meeting in kadapa city ::: JP for three-tier mechanism on graft


Lok Satta president and MLA Jayaprakash Narayan on Wednesday described corruption as the bane of the nation and underscored the need for a three-tier mechanism to curb corruption and plundering of public funds.
Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan demanded Lok Pal for checking corruption at the national level, Lok Ayuktas in the States and Ombudsmen for local bodies.

Addressing a meeting at Kadapa old bus stand, he demanded Chief Ministers be brought under the purview of Lok Pal.
Investigative agencies to unearth corruption should work under the supervision of the Vigilance Commissions, he said.
Roadshows
The Lok Satta chief participated in road shows, rallies and addressed meetings in Rajampet, Kadapa, Mydukur and Proddatur in a day-long tour today.
Dr. Narayan, district Lok Satta president P. Venugopal and leader N.V. Balaji took part in a rally from Koti Reddy statue circle to the old bus stand and addressed a meeting from atop the Lok Pal Prachara Ratham.
Large number of students took part in the rally and raised slogans demanding steps to curb corruption. Lok Satta president' road show received good response from various sections of the people wherever they were organised.
